Like many kids in CO, the Buzas brothers were drawn to skateboarding as a way to stay “on board” after the snow melted. While they’ve logged many days at the old skatepark, their connection to skating grew when they began to travel to new parks throughout the country. Since beginning our journey as homeschooling nomads in January 2021, we’ve visited well over 90+ skateparks from coast to coast along our travels. We quickly came to the conclusion that Evergreen was in need of a modern, inclusive, public and free-to-all concrete skatepark. After gathering enough feedback and support from local skaters, parents of skaters, members of service organizations, and many others with a vested interest, we finally motivated and formed the Evergreen Skatepark Coalition. Only with your support, can we make this vision a reality and provide an awesome spot for all of Evergreen to recreate and commune!

“It’s very good for kids. It’s a good way to get them outside and exercising. Skateboarding has taught me to never give up and have fun. Any skatepark I go to I make new friends.”
